The unique layout of this circa 1867 house with original wainscoting has six bedrooms that sleep 14 comfortably, with ample privacy for all. It has a large cosy dining room with leather couch and high efficiency woodstove, a country kitchen, and spacious living room, as well as three bathrooms. For your convenience it also has a study with internet access, a laundry room, dishwasher, CD player.

Enjoy the pastoral settings, listen to the bird songs and walk through the forest, the cedar groves, sugar maples, climb the granite slopes, and discover metamorphic rocks such as talc, quartz, granite. The farm is visited by deer, wild turkey, groundhog, and other native animals. Listen to the howl of coyotes.

Away from city lights, astronomy lovers can revel in the canopy of the night sky. Bicycles are available if you wish to ride to the town of Madoc or explore surrounding country roads. In winter enjoy cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, and in summer, canoeing and swimming in the lake.

Situated 2 hours from Toronto, 2.5 hours from Ottawa, 20 minutes north of Bellevile, and 45 minutes east of Peterborough, it is conveniently located just minutes of Highway 7 East.
